I have the 512GB version. Not super fast but good enough for my use case.

I've had two of these die in my MacBook Pro M3 Max from too many writes which wasn't that much at all. They don't get super hot or anything, they just stop writing get corrupted and can't even be formatted.

I use them for storing Steam games and even that might be too strenuous for them.

Always on sale for around this price, 1TB MicroSDs need to go under $40 to be a good deal at this point.

This is one of the rare things that's not too overly priced I would stick to name brand like Samsung when they go on sale.

This is a pretty good deal for this card. I bought this model in October of last year. I have it halfway filled up, and it has not given me any problems yet. I have been watching this card for a while though. It did start out going on sale on Amazon for $50, but hasn't hit that in a while. I gave up and bought it for $60 in October. $53 is a good price for this A2 card.

I had another 1tb microsd card model from teamgroup fail in my legion go within 2 months. With that said, the company has no issues replacing it under warranty.

A ton, Total War Pharoah, Battletech, Endless Space 2 (huge patch recently), DoS2, BG3, etc… the new Civ will be native MAC too.

My experience with micro SD cards and Steam Deck in general is that they all download and play games just fine. Where they really fall short vs SSD is game updates - the larger install file, the worse performance

Patching games where random write speeds are used, just about all micro SD cards are a snails pace vs SSD. Updates to BG3 are brutal, for example, but it loads and plays great.

So my two cents is to set expectations on what it will get ya and where it will likely fall short. Would love more info if anyone finds a card that does large game patching quickly
