I have a number of these back from the big '22 Energizer blowout. They are actually great. Internally powered by two 18650 cells, very bright, and very adjustable by long-pressing the button.
Yeah, yeah, micro USB, bla bla, no big deal.

On one I removed the Lantern top and have it hanging upside down in my camper van.
To echo the above comment, I have 2 of these I purchased a few years ago and they are amazing. Battery life is great especially at the lower brightness settings (very bright all around due to a reflector in the top of the dome), super versatile with different color temp light settings/dimmable/hanging options (top and bottom). I just bought two more.
Only downfall is the micro USB but if you're like me you have a million micro usb cords & single USB A charging blocks lying around to use.
Never used the phone charging capability though.
I have this exact lantern, I got it to replace my old Coleman dual fuel camping lantern, which I loved but got tired of all the broken mantles.

This one is bright and lasts for a long time on a full charge, but the controls are kinda clunky. It's a hassle to cycle between modes and "hold to dim" is really annoying.

How does this compare in brightness to the old school propane lanterns?

Thanks for the heads up. Was thinking about buying until the micro USB part.

I like to simplify my camping packing list, not carry a bunch of random cables.

I have one these, bought during a sale at some point.
I like the ability to dim and the option of warm or cool light.
Is decently lightweight which is a plus.

I also have a streamlight lantern which is heavier and more rugged. But I use this one more frequently because of the dimmer option. Battery life is great and I haven't noticed a decline in the years I've had it.

Would purchase again but I have too many lights as it is. (Always want more, though)

Slight price increase since 2022.

Ordered on June 2, 2022 for $14.18 before tax. MRSP was $28.36 that time.

As others have said, I have a few of these scattered around the house in case of a power outage (happens a few times each year). These are fantastic at illuminating a large space and I love these.

I bought this for $14 at half price in 2022 and use it all the time. I prefer it over the fancier tower version that I bought at the same time.

Last night I was painting a small laundry room that doesn't have an overhead light. This light was perfect to set atop the dryer once I'd moved it out a little bit. I could see everything fine and the results looked very good today.

Charging is great. I do better with inserting the micro USB cables than the more recent types.

If you have a spot welder I would say yes, although if you treat the batteries well they will last many years.

Nice find Blue Ranger. Maybe there are other factors they take into consideration but this deal has equivalent lumen output and battery life as the top rated rechargeable lanterns but at at a fraction of the price. https://www.outdoorgearlab.com/to...st-lantern

Any listing of light output settings vs battery life aside from 3.5 hrs for 1000 lumens?
