I have several metabo tools, love them all. Best thing is they come with a lifetime warranty. As long as metabo makes that model, it is under warranty.

I own this, found it marked down at Lowe's a few years ago. I bought it because I have owned a Hitachi drill for years and loved it, but the batteries finally gave up and the aftermarket replacements suck. I was not impressed with this drill, it doesn't have the power my old drill did, nor the power of my other brand drills. I also found the batteries do not last long before they need a charge. I used it to replace decking and the batteries died quick. I switched to one of my other drills and finished 75% of the job on one battery from that drill. This is fine for around the house jobs, but not a big job.

Still have an old hitachi drill that on paper was weaker but was as good as my current makita. Same story on the batteries.

I own this drill, and it consistently ranks at the top in every shootout comparison review video where it's featured. That's why I bought it. A 2AH battery isn't meant for hours of work drilling deck screws. For large jobs you need at least a 5-6AH battery.

Agree but the ergo for me is more comfortable on metabo then even makita. I'm not building a house every time I grab these so works for me.

Does the lifetime warranty apply to batteries as well?

Any of you guys see the Flex deals on Amazon currently?
I'm wanting to score a hammer drill for occasional use and a full sized drill for when my 12v is a bit underpowered.
The Flex hammer drill kit with 2 batteries and charger with carry bag is $99.00 shipped. Sold and shipped by Amazon. Good deal?

I just want to jump on the bandwagon and say I love the Hitachi/Matabo power tools. I built a whole collection from clearance deals on them at Lowes and actually picked up one at Menards on clearance.

I haven't had any first hand experience with the Flex brand but the employee at Lowe's was gushing over it last time I was in there buying more HPT

Yeah YT reviews are pretty favorable as well. I passed on the hammer drill Kit, but snagged the drill driver combo with charger and two batteries at Lowes. Crazy deal, but you actually buy the Flex stacker box for $159.00 and the combo kit @ $249.00 is a free gift. That's kinda insane really.
