We are moving to Leica after four+ years and multiple very big sales being mis-measured due to these. If the stakes are low and you feel like taking your chances feel free, but if anything serious depends on these working properly I suggest you consider alternatives.

Thanks, got one for $28 from a seller with 99% rating on over 10,000 feedback and with CB from credit card that covers the sales tax. The cheaper one charges shipping and you really have to read carefully what the listing is for. The $24.97 listing is selling a case.

I can't express how useful it is measuring 12-25ft spans. Just plop it on a wall, click save, look at the number and write it down, plot on another wall, save, write the number, you made a cut list in no time.
