If you don't get the 99 cent coupon, do an order (not s&s) with 25%. Then try again.

Once the s&s goes thru with 25% and $.99, cancel the first order.

I have an HE washing machine. I pour detergent into the cup until the fill line. Can someone explain to me why these pods are better/easier then what I do now? I'm not knocking these at all. I don't see how they make things easier (and maybe I'm missing something) but I need detergent and if they are cheaper then normal liquid detergent, I'd get some even if they are not better.

As a group liquid detergents clean better and are easier to dose based on load size. One pod is generally good for a medium load, 2 for a large. Can't really dose down for a small load.

The main advantage of pods is portability. If you wash your clothes away from home (laundromat, apartment building basement washers, etc) it'd a lot more convenient to bring a small baggie with a few pods than a heavy jug of detergent.

I keep them as a backup in case I run out of liquid.

Heads up, adding to cart for one-time purchase and go through to checkout, it provides an option for 30% instead of 25%. Not sure if it stacks with the 99 cent coupon because I didn't get that offer, but it would come out to $5.78 with the 30% and no 99 cent coupon.

For home use, I only buy them if they are on sale cheaper than the equivalent per load cost of liquid, which is not often as it's hard to beat Kirkland's detergent when on sale.

Personally I buy these for my kids to use for laundry at college, or when we're on vacation in a place we're doing laundy (although I prefer the all-powder packs as I try to avoid packing any liquids during travel)

Not sure what answer you're looking for or what would convince you, but picking up a pod and dropping it in the bottom of the machine is obviously easier than pouring and measuring, even if only slightly so, and less messy for clumsy folks. That's it, there's no secret calculus here.

I've been using these, form another deal, and they're fine in my HE machine, nothing to write home about, it's detergent. What I don't like is the child-resistant slider on the top of the bag, which is a little hard to use but not a deal breaker. I get whatever's cheap when I need it, or stock up a little when there's a deal, and just bought a bunch of sheets from a Woot deal, so I'd say at 13.5 cents apiece these are alright, but stick with whatever you're comfortable with. I liked the old Arm & Hammer powder packs when they went on sale for like 8 cents apiece, but I think those days are gone.
