I bought this last time it was on sale for $149.99. This is an even better deal.

I'm not a gamer, but I use it as a monitor, and it's a big upgrade over my 43" ONN
No, seriously it is, the backlighting is even and color is much better. Viewing angles are much better than the ONN as well. The sound is abysmal, but it does have bluetooth so you can add whatever speaker you want wirelessly. Overall, I really like it.

The only knock is I don't like the "Fire" part of this TV. I just don't care for the interface, but since I only use it with my PC it's no big deal.

I already own a 43" Toshiba C350 and I like it. Going from a 60" low end Hisense the 75" Toshiba (Hisense) C350 should be a substantial improvement if it's as good as the 43". Here's Rtings take:

"Bottom Line (Rtings): "The Toshiba C350 2023 is a mediocre TV overall. Its wide viewing angle makes it a good choice if you're mostly interested in watching shows or sports in a wide seating area. It has decent reflection handling, but it doesn't get very bright, so it can't fight glare from bright lights or windows in a living room or in an office. It has terrible contrast and lacks a wide color gamut, so watching movies or playing games in a dark room is disappointing. With its decent response time and extremely low input lag, it isn't bad for gaming, but it has no extra gaming features."

I guess they didn't like it. They did say it was a good choice for watching shows or sports in a wide seating area. Decent reflection handling, decent response times. The color is good on my 43"C350 I expect the same out of the 75".

I was about to jump on this to replace my living room set since I have the 43" and like it. I went to find a Rtings review and someone on Reddit posted it:

I guess they didn't like it. Honestly, it would be an upgrade from what I have, but I think I might regret not picking up something better than the C350 for watching movies. The biggest problem with the Toshiba is supposedly the brightness and contrast. I've been living with an old low end TCL that is horrible with HDR content, so it doesn't sound like the Toshiba would necessarily be an improvement. It's a shame though, because it has great wide viewing angles (being an IPS panel), and $449 for a 75" set is compelling. Does anyone use this for their main set?

Very mediocre TV, for those who care. I mean, it's under $200, so you get what you pay for. This a guest room or garage TV. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...eries-2023 [rtings.com]
I agree. It's mediocre, but better than the lowest end TVs. The 75" Toshiba seems like quite the deal to me at $449, even with the low ratings for HDR content, brightness, and contrast. Wide viewing angles, good color, glare handling, and my experience with the 43" picture of this model sold me.

I was strongly considering this Sony instead of the Toshiba, but $449...

So anyone who wants this should just get the $30-40 geek squad 5 year add in and not worry about it. Not sure why this isn't mentioned more often for lower end electronic deals through BB

How well does Bluetooth work for TV speakers? (is it stereo only / any delay in the audio)

Most 43" deals I've seen the TVs are quite thick. This looks thinner in comparison at least.

Welp, I ordered the Toshiba 75" after all. $449 is incredible for a 75" TV. The truth is, I'm too cheap to spend three times that for a truly fine TV such as that Sony BRAVIA XR X93L https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...x93l-x93cl which is technically a Slick Deal since it's half price at $1298.

If the Toshiba "is" that bad, I can return it, but I have a feeling I'll like it as long as it doesn't have any obvious defects.

I tested it for functionality when I first set up the TV and didn't notice any delay, but I just made sure it worked, so not really a thorough test.
