The walls of the staterooms are typically made of magnetic material. So these magnets stick very well and allow for many creative uses. Hanging bags, hats, jewelry or curtains used to partition.
Since most all the walls are steel, we hang up a shoe organizer (also good for cups), a bottle organizer in the bathroom, random hooks for towels or bathing suits, etc. Very convenient when the whole family is traveling.

How would I use thiis on a wall or piece of wood? Don't want to use magntic tape. Another option that would be about 10 feet long would be? Something I could nail up on both ends?
So I've heard but when I went on Carnival Radiance, I couldn't use these.. nothing in my room was metal.
Due to fire danger, most cruise ship cabins are made of metal. However, the Carnival Radiance was originally the Carnival Glory, which was first built back in 2000. During it's 2021 renovation, they might have put on a thick layer of paint on the walls, which reduced the magnetic attraction on cabin walls.

Same for me, I never got them. I wonder if they're getting stuck on the metal parts of the conveyor belt.
