Ordered despite the negative feedback on SD. Sometimes it pays to go against the grain.. One said they go flat, well I figured with two I'd get enough use out of them. So far so good and I have a bad neck that needs the support. Large and firm enough for my needs with CPAP nose pillow. One side is firmer but I like the soft side. So this deal isn't quite as hot, still a decent product, no noticeable smell and good quality.
Both are soft. Tempurpedic has the neck support, good for side sleepers. We got these 2 years ago for $37. Without the neck support they are squeezing down to about 2" thick, making a slope where your neck rests.

Pillows are highly subjective, ditto mattresses. That's why it's not uncommon to give you long periods to try them. You can go with reviews but it's still going to be "beauty in the eye of the beholder". I find that pillows get more comfortable over time as they "break in" but the flip side is that eventually they wear out and you're back to square one. One thing I have found for sure however is no pillow provides cooling. Especially after you put a pillow case on it. Don't believe any cooling claims the manufacturer makes.
