From the documentation, it seems 500w max on single solar input, 1kw max with both.

Has anyone used external battery to charge? If so, what input are you seeing?

Not sure if buying refurb on something like this would be better option.... especially if there are common failures and that failure was repaired correctly with better part or better fix......

this was $799 the day before the "20% off" coupon was added. Price was adjusted to make the "20%" bring the price magically to $699. What would have been $160 off became $100 off. I own one Max (+ many other) and have been looking to add another Max refurb. Love the product. Really like the customer support. Not a fan of monkey math like this.

Definitely not. Refurbished models now only have a two year warranty. New ones have a five year warranty. With all the problems these things seem to have, They
Would have to give a much deeper discount for me to buy a refurbished model.

i've bought 5 or 6 refurbished River and Delta series of various sizes. I have never had issues with the refurbs. And, on some refurbs, a 5 year warranty was included thru the Ebay Ecoflow store. Most had a 2 year warranty. just FYI.
