He narrates a documentary version of this that is available on Youtube. I believe it may have been a BBC broadcast.

I love Sir Ferguson, but his writing often goes into a LOT of detail.

The documentary is awesome and super interesting for anyone.

"Unfortunately the aqueducts were so well constructed, none of the coins actually 'trickled down' to the common people as Trajan had insisted."

You asked me to send you a link to a video that was extremely easy to find. Now you're asking me to read the video length back to you. Yes, it is 4 hours, but it was excellent and filled with good info. It was a 4 or 5 episode docuseries on BBC, I believe

Lol, we get a bit over technical in the forums. Imagine if a person you were conversing with at lunch said the same thing.

I believe, even if unintended by the poster, it was a subconscious conversation opener. Allowing you to interject more details like. "Yes it's long but the most relevant parts are X and Y you can skip the first hour." Etc.

Your original comment about the video was that it was "based on" implying it's been reworked and possibly renamed. Hence why I'm asking.

You don't have to answer me if you don't want to. No need to be hostile about it.
Similar to my point to Brad... Likely just an internet / text communication issue. Likely not as hostile intent as you read it. Just as your question wasn't really meant to be a fact check of your read of the YouTube duration 😁

Well asking to send a link was dumb.. and why ask a rhetorical question on a message board (which didn't really sound that rhetorical)? These notifications are wasting my time

Hanging out on SD?

Not only is it a waste of time, it's a waste of money as well. 😜

PS, there's an ignore button. Use it if others bother you.

Repeated responses seem to indicate otherwise. The easiest thing to do is ignore people, or even use the built in feature of hitting "ignore" button.

However, you're right that my question was really, "is it really 4-hours and if so, is it really worth watching the whole thing?". Didn't think being really explicitly clear about something so minor was needed as it was in conversational tone.

Most people just ignore if they don't want to engage, and I should probably just do the same here.

I highly recommend this book. Yes, there is a video. But, the book is better.
