I would NOT recommend a belt drive turntable at this price. imo it would be worth spending just a little more to get something that's direct drive (preferably with automatic timing adjustment strobe) in order to guarantee consistent audio. Belt drive turntables have a tendency to mess up timing and degrade over time. they aren't the most terrible thing in the world or anything, but if you're going for a belt driven turntable, there are way less expensive options that should operate similarly.
It's a trade-off—direct drive turntables typically offer superior speed stability but can introduce micro-vibrations due to the motor being directly connected to the platter. Belt-driven turntables isolate the motor, which helps reduce vibrations and can result in a cleaner, more natural sound. Some audiophiles prefer belt drive for this reason, as it can minimize unwanted resonance. If audio quality and pitch accuracy is a concern, look for a belt-driven turntable with wow/flutter of 0.05% WRMS or lower

I've used an LW30 with a VM95 series stylus for years and been happy with it. Good value at that price. Think these are made by Hanpin in China who make a large number of turntables for various companies.

A bit off topic, but what do you think about idler drive turntables?

This LPW30 has some adjustment screws underneath and I had no issues adjusting the turntable to this level of accuracy. I just checked it again after using it for a couple of years and the wow and flutter has not drifted at all.

This is a pretty solid turntable at this price and it has adjustments for antiskate and will take any VM series stylus if someone wants to upgrade later.
