For those who are sensitive to PWM, know that this flashlight uses it.

I have two of these, both in the 5000k flavor. Simply amazing lights for the money.

Buy the diffuser right away, its only $3-4.

The Anduril configuration UI is pretty handy, just be sure to print the chart out larger and its easy to follow.

Diffuser is $1.50 if you buy it in the bundle.

How long does this flashlight run on full brightness, and can you hold it without gloves in that mode?

How well would this work as a bike headlight? I can print an adapter for it that would fasten to my handlebar gopro mount easy enough. I presume 1800Lm would be a nice illumination in town, and 7k on backroads is very enticing.

Probably some reviews out there that have done a duration test. I've only needed it at full-tilt-boogie for 3-5 minutes and it got plenty warm/hot..

I've been trying to find some good data.. Torque test channel did the Q8 Pro and it was pretty impressive and hit the #'s advertised but it tapers off. To my knowledge they didn't mention heat after x period of time so trying to find that now for the Q8 Plus

Ended up just going for it.. The reviews for this brand are stellar and they seem like they don't lie. Torque Test Channel Really liked the smaller version so surely this will perform just as well.

From a review:

With a 45 C temperature limit set, it was able to sustain:

15,000 lumens for a minute with Turbo.
7,500 lumens for 2 minutes 30 seconds with Step 7.
4,000 lumens for almost 7 minutes with Step 6.
1,700 lumens for 15 minutes with Step 5.
1,000 lumens for over 5 hour with Step 5.

Holy smokes! That is a monster! I have their smaller model and it is rad! It's a great hand warmer in the winter.

probably run for 40 seconds then steps down to low mode, then you'll have to fight it going back and for forth on high and low ... these power lights sucks which it has heat sensors to stop it from
burning out and you can't use it on turbo mode for long.

Thanks; it wasn't clear from the page what kind of runtime would be available at the various settings. frerk posted some reviewer times at lumen steps, so that's probably a no-go.
