This is a good deal for this x box version. However, if you plan to use this for PC and are deciding whether to jump on the deal or not, this very similar controller is always $20 on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D7367TK1. Yes, there are some differences but you can weigh whether you care or not.
This versions seems to be specifically designed for Xbox, and Xbox controllers don't have gyro. Maybe they removed the gyro from this version for feature parity with the intended platform, hence the conflicting information?

Can't tell, does this have gyro? My googling is providing conflicting info.

Very nice deal. Would bite if wireless.

Honestly I think you are 100% right. After my comment I found several Amazon reviews complaining about the lack of gyro even if they felt it was advertised as included, one alluding to the fact they thought the Xbox version of the Pro 2 didn't have gyro while the other (non Xbox) versions did....yet were all confusingly called "Pro 2" as if they were the same product.

To make matters more confusing there seem to be Xbox branded, Switch branded, wired, wireless, wired detachable, wired non detachable versions of this same named Pro 2 Wired Controller...and all appear to have different features. 8Bitdo's website doesn't shed any light either.

I have a lot of experience with 8-bit do controllers, and I bought this controller for my son a few months ago. Generally speaking, this model is pretty plain in terms of features relative to their other controllers, but since it is designed for Xbox/PC and wired only, it's generally much more "plug and play" than their controllers that have switch or Android specific features/functionality and configurations that you have to mess with.

It's also worth noting that this controller comes with 1 free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which already has a standard monthly price of $19.99 per month by itself these days. For me, it's been a great value for him to easily game on PC/Steam without me having to worry about him mangling a more expensive 8-bit do Ultimate or PS5 controller or something similar. And I got to use the 1 month game pass code to play through the new Indiana Jones game.

I bought it when it was $30 and have been happy with it, so I feel like this is a no brainer with hall effect sticks at $20 (provided wireless is not an essential need and you will utilize the Game Pass code).

I own and enjoy a few 8bitdo controllers, including one similar to this, but as other posters have alluded to their naming scheme is a bit obtuse. As far as I can tell the "8Bitdo Pro 2" is a form factor, when you buy a Pro 2 you get a controller shaped like this with roughly these buttons. But the feature set varies between controllers, which makes it difficult to determine information about the controller you're buying outside of on the exact listing you're buying from. If you search for 8Bitdo Pro 2 you'll find some controllers have hall effect joysticks, some don't, some have switch support, some don't, and from the other comments it sounds like there might be some out there with gyro support.

tl;dr you can only trust that the features that are on the listing for an 8bitdo controller are what you're getting, because multiple feature sets share the same name.

In for one. I have a few bitdo adapters and they work well. I have a cheap controller for my pc and it's starting to drift, it's also very loud, squeeky, and clicky. So this looks like it would be a solid replacement

Seems likes a great price and two great features Hall effect sticks and two back paddles

You can easily map them for left click and right click to reduce wear and tear on the sticks

I have 2 of these, and I like them. I have one without hall effect sticks and a white like they're selling here. I prefer wired for lower latency as well as never worrying about batteries. I have had issues with the white one here not working with batocera when I first turn it on, but I just unplug the USB c from the controller and plug it back up then it works without issue the rest of the time.

The Pro 2 is easily my favorite gamepad design, much nicer than any of the 1st party current generation controllers and 8bitdo's other controllers (including the Ultimate/U2C). It's down to personal preference in the end, but the buttons, shape, and layout all work out really well ergonomically.

I have this controller - bought it because I wanted something that felt like dualshock 4 thumbstick layout on Xbox. I ultimately stopped using it. Wired didn't bother me too much as it does not interfere with my setup. I have medium/large hands and I just never felt very comfortable using it. The d-pad works well but the thumbsticks are a bit stiff which might work itself out after some heavy use.

I bought and received the PowerA controller from the same Woot sale. It is a steal at this price. The adjustable travel triggers and height adjustable sticks are amazing. It has helped with my lap times in Ride 5.
