This C425 camera is also compatible with the Tapo hub. When you have the hub, recordings can be stored locally on the hub without the cloud subscription and instead of an SD card in the camera.
Picked one up, thanks! Bought this about a year ago on sale from Amazon for $79.99. It's worked really well in hot and cold, has decent detection and a good app with no required monthly subscription. I have an SD card inserted for local storage which can accessed via the app. Battery life lasts approx. 3 months with my current moderate detection sensitivity settings, would be longer with lower sensitivity. Cheers

Link to hub please, cursory reading of amazon reviews doesn't seem like it supports hub

I've had two of these for over a year and they have worked well for me. Just picked up another one to cover the rest of my backyard. I only need to charge them about every 4-5 months or so including one that is covering my driveway and road in front of the house which gets triggered a lot.

EDIT: Looks like these cameras originally had RTSP but TP-Link pulled that feature - a shame.
