With taxes, we're talking about a $500 difference.
I'm really torn. That one is more powerful, durable, better resale values, but is it worth the extra $500? I really like this vivobook's price and specs.
Regardless, there are other ASUS models (their Snapdragon X model for one) that also has that "plastic film" on the display. I have one. TBH, you never notice it while using it. I have another ASUS laptop with OLED that does not have that display. Maybe it's just a less expensive panel? The visual quality (stunning OLED colors, blacks, etc.) do not seem to be any less.
16GB is entry level with today's processors, 32GB should be considered a standard upgrade nowadays. Especially with intel arc graphics cards where it's stealing ram for the GPU.
My frustration is if these manufacturers are going to cripple their pcs like this, at least make them upgradable.
