Fresh roast is always better but i wouldnt go as far calling this a garbage coffee. At least with 50k positive reviews, the coffee is pretty decent

And I use this as espresso. Works great in my breville. I've had many fancier brands but this specific one is my gold standard.
Bold, as the name implies has a large amount of crema, not very bitter, and definitely not sour/acidic tasting.
