This is actually an upgrade from cheaper UPS units that DGAF and just flip the volts 120 times a second. Its not as good as 'pure sine' but if youre not driving an AC motor with it then its going to perform the same way.

That's what I use one of mine for. It's so nice when the power blips and you don't have to wait for the router and/or modem to reboot.

Yes, it should run a home router for hours if that's all that's on the battery. A cable modem or the like would be fine too.

I work from home and we get a surprising amount of power disruptions. One day the power was out for hours and I was able to keep the internet rolling the whole time with the 1500va version of this.
