Why are these so expensive like triple the price compared to any other at Home Depot? Are these really going to last 10 years plus? The 4 burners are like $1400. It's crazy

Mine is 17 years old, and other than replacing the ignitor once, it's a good as new still

You live in warm state? In MN if you keep them outside in winter, these rust in 5-7 years.

As others have said, it depends on where you live. I'm on my 3rd Weber Genesis. Each one has lasted over 10 years. I only replaced them because I wanted something different. Gave the 1st two away when I upgraded models and they lasted several more years with their new users.

1st - 3 burner
2nd - 3 burner with side burner (this model)
3rd (current) - 4 burner

If I was buying a grill today, I'd buy the E-335

You think the 4 burner is too much overkill?

Three reasons I would get this one over the 4 burner that I have.

1st - It has a side burner. I really miss the side burner.
2nd - It's hard to explain but the larger hood on the 4 burner is slightly flimsy. If you grab the front handle at either end, the hood flexes just enough to slightly bind on the lower portion. Not a huge problem as long as you grab the front handle in the middle. More of a "my 3 burner never did that."
3rd - The 3 burner seemed to heat up faster and get slightly hotter than my current 4 burner.

Both sizes are good grills that will cook great and last a long time. I just know for my needs, the 3 burner with side burner would be better.

Hope that helps.

Makes sense. Didn't really think of larger sq ft to heat up longer because it has 4 burners to accommodate. I would think most people get a 3 burner and considering genesis is bigger sq ft than spirit models. This seems like a good price. It looks like this is a Costco exclusive model. I can't find exact look anywhere else with side burner and doors.

If I need the extra sqft, would the 435 be better? It has the side burner and 4 burners.

If you need that much room, then yes. I had the 335 when it was just my wife, son & I. It worked great even when we had guests over.

435 would be overkill for just the wife & I now.

Ran by my local Costco this morning, and they only had Liquid Propane models on the floor.

Yep, I have a Genesis model that's 20 years old. It's finally time to replace it.

Waiting for the enclosed Spirit model to go on sale.

Nice, which griddle flat top do people buy to make smash patties too?
