As someone who has never played pickleball, I'm genuinely curious, what makes a paddle good or bad?

I have the Joola pickle ball paddles from Target during the 70% off clearance deals. They are pretty good for beginners.

Fiberglass paddles and no one uses those balls. Fiberglass paddles are less forgiving and have a smaller sweet spot. Also, do not provide consistency.

Get carbon fiber paddles and Franklin x40 balls when they come on sale.

https://www.amazon.com/VINSGUIR-P...0D7Q38981/ $23.99 is one option.

Plenty of times I've seen some come up for under $15 each for starter carbon fiber.

A set for $40 but need different balls

There's a Chinese site what can't be posted here has $30 paddles that rival the $250 paddles.

Ah ok, thanks for the info. I'm not really interested in playing but we see a lot of pickleball paddle deals on here and you got me curious as to what makes a good one with your comment haha.
