100% agree! Roku tv is the best tv os!
Probably, but some updates haven't been improvements or removed features. Recent update broke or removed my instant on live OTA.

Why not just pair it with an Onn 4k pro or Apple TV 4K?

Even high end TVs embedded smart functionality is lacking…

Seriously, it blows my mind that people even bother to question what the "smart TV" experience is like on a TV.

A $100 Apple TV is worth completely ignoring and bypassing that question. The new Google TV streamer if you want Android/don't like Apple.

Why are people buying thousand+ $$ TV's and using shitty user interfaces with a slow processor? Not to mention the amount of legitimate adware in these TV's literally designed to harvest and sell your data. These TV manufacturers would LOVE for you to use their smart tv functionality.

You need to relax. Not every tv is out to get you. My Sony Bravia 8 OLED I was able to turn on a simple Home Screen mode so I see zero ads and all I see are the streaming apps. Disney plus gives me DTS:X since Sony participates in that. It also runs just fine.

That's not necessarily true. My C2 (and C3) have great embedded functionality and to my surprise, both are still operating quickly. I've used various streaming sticks for probably a decade and I was able to quit and use the TVs. The only thing I've lost that impacts me is the PBS app and frankly, most all (if not all) of their programming is on YT.

No, it's not. I haven't checked in a couple months but I doubt that has changed.
