I have a TV antenna at home to watch local channels every now and then. They're all pretty much the same when it comes to reception. I'm happy with mine for the little use I get out of it.

I have used a ton of antennas before, not this one in particular but if its like another indoor philips I saw reviewed this will suck. They dont even mention if its a UHF/VHF the other philips antenna could not pick up a single VHF station. Overall I would say this is a pass unless you can mount it outside and really high up to increase the odds of better reception, inside the house unless you close to a broadcasting tower your results and I'm just assuming from seeing a review of another Philips brand antenna will be very mediocre.

So what questions you got?

Yes and no, some antennas are UHF or VHF only some are both. That will play a huge impact on what stations you will actually be able to get depending on your local broadcast transmitters. In some markets the big stations are split so needing an antenna that does both is a must. UHF antennas are way more common now a days so you always have to be careful when choosing an antenna.

I have this and it's trash for me. I get no reception compared to the knock off mohu leaf style antennas I have that get a ton of channels.

What's the difference with a mobile tv antenna? Just put it on top of the RV and then don't worry about it?

If your really really short on change this is the best thing you can buy for $12:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BLNW...ofs_d_asin

If you got a little more money to spend but not a lot this for $35 is your next step up:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074TWS..._asin&th=1

After that your looking right around $100 range for the next big jump in reception.

I have that flatenna. It's fine. I find it amazing that it's one of the better antennas for not being an amplified antenna however, it will only work if you have clear line of sight, it will not under any circumstances pick up reception through Sheetrock wall standard house construction. I live on a hill and i can see the tower in view across the valley and the moment i got a much longer solid copper core RG6 coax cable and mounted it on a window i went from getting virtually no channels to getting all the channels mostly clear where i live.

I do recommend that cheap Philips because i believe it has the ability to pick up both uhf and vhf but the flatenna struggles with one of those.

The antennaman youtube channel is probably the best place to see actual reviews and breakdowns about how things work.

Channelmasters website is very helpful for determining where the antennas are in your location and determining where you should aim your antenna. Click where it says to view map, and enter your zip code. Not only will it show what direction the antennas are but it will tell you what specific channels are being broadcasted and at what frequency and the strength too. Very important when you're trying to figure out antenna placement.

Also another thing as the antenna man says, every tv or set top box you connect your antenna to may or may not have a good antenna tuner. I learned this the hard way with my TCL Roku tv which i love, turns out to have a bottom of the barrel tv antenna tuner built it, so it will make picking up reception worse and worse.

I did the whole cord cutting thing a few months ago. I'm amazed at how much research i had to do, but once you learn a few things it makes making decisions easier.

As for this antenna, I can't speak to whether it's any good or not but it does come nextgen tv ready which is " supposedly" the next big thing in tv antennas. But it's roll out is a drop in the bucket across the country and it's also very selective in those places, just because it's available you may not have the privilege of even watching anything on it without paying for it.

It's possible that the antenna man has done a review on this on YouTube, I would check him out, he actually test how good the signal strength of the different antennas are, and generally most antennas sold on Amazon are complete garbage

Okay so from what I can tell about this antenna from other websites because the information given by the eBay seller is very vague, this requires a special amplifier to work properly, which good luck trying to figure out what is a good one for those, those can be five times more expensive than the antenna itself. And they may not even help.

Someone mentioned this basic Philips indoor antenna for 12$ on Amazon and here's a review about it for reference.

Here's also a review for the flatenna that someone recommended as well
