I have a TV antenna at home to watch local channels every now and then. They're all pretty much the same when it comes to reception. I'm happy with mine for the little use I get out of it.

I have used a ton of antennas before, not this one in particular but if its like another indoor philips I saw reviewed this will suck. They dont even mention if its a UHF/VHF the other philips antenna could not pick up a single VHF station. Overall I would say this is a pass unless you can mount it outside and really high up to increase the odds of better reception, inside the house unless you close to a broadcasting tower your results and I'm just assuming from seeing a review of another Philips brand antenna will be very mediocre.

So what questions you got?

Yes and no, some antennas are UHF or VHF only some are both. That will play a huge impact on what stations you will actually be able to get depending on your local broadcast transmitters. In some markets the big stations are split so needing an antenna that does both is a must. UHF antennas are way more common now a days so you always have to be careful when choosing an antenna.

I have this and it's trash for me. I get no reception compared to the knock off mohu leaf style antennas I have that get a ton of channels.

What's the difference with a mobile tv antenna? Just put it on top of the RV and then don't worry about it?

If your really really short on change this is the best thing you can buy for $12:

If you got a little more money to spend but not a lot this for $35 is your next step up:

After that your looking right around $100 range for the next big jump in reception.
