It was actually $7.98 per kilo last time. But it took them over 2 months to ship. Just got the shipment in a couple days ago. Haven't had a chance to use the filament yet

Unusual filament but I really like this stuff. Had to grab a few rolls of the matte black and flourite

Just messed up my Ender 3D pro because of light purple filament from this one.
Anectodal but I'll stay away. Lots of problems with this filament then switching back, thermal runaway issues started. I am seeing residue of this filament coming up after 1.5 hours - 2 hours of print where it gets thermal runaway error.

I always target below $10/ kg. Which is really nice.

I do really like that its plant based and recyclable.

Not to mention its rated for ok speeds. Which I'm finding can generally be an issue with budget filament.

Even the best bundles buy 10 pay for 6 come out to about $13 per kg. During the holidays elegoo had 10 for $100 bulk blk/whi. this would be a significant price drop for colors.

Ill try it and see how it prints. itd be kinda great to compost all the waste or something.

Also they strongly reccomend drying it.I have a decent drying system so that should help.

100 variables with 3d printing but this is the first filament I've had problems with. Mainly surface finish for reasons that I can't seem to fix, but also some adhesion issues from shrinking (I believe). I would say the colors are even lighter than the pictures suggest and definitely pastel.

Maybe the experts can fix the issues but I haven't really read anything positive when I go looking for some printing tips for this filament.

Im def not an expert at all. Have you ran calibration tests? Those can be quite helpful.

Also ive read and also experienced this - white is the most difficult to get right. If these are fairly light (which is ideal for my color pref) thats going to contribute to tuning issues

Interesting to read about white and lighter colors being difficult. That could be what's contributing to the problems as I've mostly done darker colors before this brand. I have tried three colors so far with these.

I have not done calibration towers but have tried a series of benches and prints with varying settings (flow, temp, speed, wall thickness, adaptive layering) to try and investigate.

They aren't that bad of quality just not up to the standard I've seen, if you're going for aesthetics.

Last time I ordered this it took over a month to ship this filament to me. They didn't ship until I contacted them asking what was going on. "Oh! We'll go ahead and ship now."

I'm pretty sure the recyclable claims are just marketing and in the end it's just normal pla, which is usually derived from corn and only biodegradable in industrial settings. If you want a filament to compost, you'll have to wait till ecogenesis's(polar filament) PHA is back in stock at $30/KG.
FWIW, the matte black printed fine with 0.16 layer height at 300mm/s 20,000mm/s² last time I used it.

I also bought a bunch of this two months ago. It took a while to ship, but they were very clear that it was a presale and it arrived within the original estimated timeframe.

For me, it's performed fine with the stock Bambu PLA settings on my P1S. I only printed a few items (black), but so far so good.

I'll add my experience with this Ultra stuff and my Bambu A1 mini. I've had no major issues except for some slight finishing problems. But I'd relate that more to scaling bad models than the PLA.

It comes in vac sealed plastic with desiccant packs. I've bought 8 kg total so far and I like the white the best in terms of quality and finish. But moon stone also looks good.

I can't run these at the full 300mm speed, but 150-200mm is pretty great. Could be anecdotal. Could be Bambu overcoming issues. Not sure, but very few bad prints with this stuff.

I bought the black on the last deal and it is working fine for me. I have an A1 mini using the generic PLA settings.

All PLA is 'plant based' and degradable.

It CAN NOT be recycled.

If you want to recycle filament you need to use something that the recycling plant will actually recycle and not just burn or throw in the landfill.

ABS is what you want if you want to recycle.

I just got 75% of my order from January delivered. I haven't printed with it yet personally, but I've heard reports of it separating from normal PLA in multicolor prints as well as other abnormalities. I'm hoping these are isolated incidents, but be prepared for them if you decide to get this deal.
