I keep hearing about these things. I had several questions about them, questions that I thought would be answered by the Wikipedia article. No such luck. From Wikipedia:

"Some product reviewers find that regular convection ovens or convection toaster ovens produce better results;[27] others say that air frying is essentially the same as convection baking,[29] while still others praise the devices for cooking faster, being easier to clean, and making it easier to produce crispy results than full size convection ovens"

I don't have enough counter space, but the price is tempting. Anyone want to weigh in with their impressions?

I never knew what I was missing before I had an air fryer. Now I use one almost daily. It's so good at so many tasks: reheating rotisserie chicken with full browning capability, cooking sausage patties, barbecuing ribs or pork chops in the kitchen, preparing all kinds of frozen foods like meatballs, French fries. and more. Best little appliance ever.

At this price point, it is a great starter air fryer. I bought a smaller Bella to start then moved to a big 8 qt so I could roast a whole chicken in it. Getting this one to leave under our gas grill outside for times when I don't want to heat up my kitchen in the summer.

Air frying is definitely not the best term for what these devices do. The reason they are so popular (and the reason I love my Breville), is that they heat up quickly, they use strong fans to quickly and evenly heat food, and they are small. My large convection oven could probably produce similar results but takes much longer to heat up and uses a lot more power. They are essentially small convection ovens, heat up quickly, convenient to use, and don't use much power.

I thought my 6 qt was tiny. 2 qt? Probably only good for French fries , chicken nuggets or a tiny chicken breast or fish or a small side of frozen veggies

This is a great price, but 2qt is tiny for an air fryer.
I'm usually only cooking for one or two and for me 4-5oz was my sweet spot.
Some of them are huge and take up so much counter space.
Like someone else commented, they are amazing!
They just make everything taste better and use less power than an oven, cook things faster, and in the warmer months it's definitely a lot less heat in your kitchen versus using an oven.
I use mine almost everyday.

How are they for re-heating Pizza? For someone who whos never used a air fryer but wants to try one out is 2 qt too small for a lazy bachelor?

2oz wouldn't work for a slice of pizza.
Even at 4-5oz I sometimes have to kind of fold the slice.
But it's so much better than reheating in a microwave.

They are good at reheating pizza but 2qt might be slightly small ti fit a big slice. Take a look in the kitchen appliances section next time you stop by walmart/target/any store like that. You'll know as soon as you see it.

This is the accurate description. I use convection oven for larger amount and the end results are the same, other than using more power.

It's a counter-top convection oven. I will say it's far superior at reheating most foods than a microwave.
