4th Generation and legacy network-connected Tablo DVRs allow streaming to compatible devices anywhere in your home. However, there is no method to copy/save/export recorded Tablo video onto a device for later offline viewing.
Furthermore, Tablo recordings on external hard drives are not saved in a standard file format and therefore are not playable on other devices.
Seriously. I opened this post with just 1 page. I come back in an hour or so and its jumped to 4 pages. All because of one guy who can't stop saying the same thing.

Not working for me. But great product.

Edit: Do you mean "All Models On Sale $59.95" or "All Models On Sale $40 off"?

If you already have one that could be why. I spotted the deal a day after ordering 🙄 and I can't apply the promo code with the email address I used previously (ordered with code, but without sale)

When my Tivo Roamio dies I'll move on to this service. IT looks like it's getting close to Tivo quality. I still have the old Tivo UI so that's a good thing to keep going as long as I can.
I really don't want to stream live sports since with Tivo I can record them and start watching an hour later, skip commercials and finish around the same end time. Table does this too?

Make sure your smart TV has access to the Tablo app! Our Samsung Frame TV is not compatible. Have to use a Firestick plugged into the side. Seeing as that's the only app we'd need the Firestick for, it's a no from me dawg.

I've no idea about these devices. What is the benefit over Plex live, or the firetv live sections? Other than the local recording?

i've had an tablotv for almost 10 years now, has worked shockingly well. Any benefit to moving to one of their new boxes? And does anyone know offhand if the lifetime guide sticks w/ the account or the box

Yes you can dig a hole next to your neighbor's cable line cut it put a splitter on it and drag it to your house

You get your local OTA channels which are usually not available on streaming apps

Got excited since I've been looking to replace my old Sling AirTV box. Just read that Taboo Gen4 does not support out-of-home streaming. Huge deal breaker for me since I need to stream sport broadcasts when I'm not home.

Nothing personal, but what makes you think that this POS is a "great product"? They've been dumping these (with a variety of promotions) for months now! Soon, they'll be 2 for the price of 1. These (poor excuses for an over-the-air DVR) have been problematic since they were hastily released to the public almost 2 years ago. They were riddled with problems! They released a few (not nearly enough) updates, and they still behave as if they weren't ready for primetime! Missing guide data (in many areas and in many locations) that they refuse to correct, poor interactions with certain apps, buffering problems, server outages (infrequent but can occur when the demand is high), overheating (small infrastructure with insufficient ventilation), power supply issues and mediocre at best support! It's an unreliable, flaky, quirky product from a new company (owned by media conglomerate, Scripps). Nothing like the previous, highly reliable ("legacy") products (from the original company). And ATSC 1.0 (although still viable) may be short-lived (although this wouldn't be the catalyst for not purchasing it). Do yourself a favor and stay away!....or else, pay very close attention to your return window! This is coming from someone who's now using this as a paperweight (and needed to exchange it 3 times originally)!
