If your Windows laptop is horrible then maybe there's something wrong with it. Or it's user error. I'm still rocking Windows ultrabooks from 7 years ago that work perfectly fine. And they have 16gb of RAM from way back then; something Apple sn only very recently including now.

For under $800.
Apparently, it was a pretty common issue. Even updating the firmware or change the power management settings in BIOS doesn't help. Because of it, I keep telling myself not to get HP again... But occasionally, HP has better deal than Dell, and I become a sucker of it.

Personally for HP I'd rather get a ProBook or EliteBook for better build quality and upgradable RAM, but this price is pretty darn good for having 32GB RAM, a good CPU, and a good screen.

If you want a nice Windows laptop for a good price... that CPU is MEH - ignore the OH SO MANY threads yet performs on par with a Ryzen 7 8840HS (that's a 6 core CPU)
The integrated graphics are kind of nice compared to Intel's earlier offerings - yet, still barely fit to play 10 year old games at 1080p, BUT......
It's all about that OLED screen.
Point is, why run a Windows laptop when Macbook Air exists - seriously, my Windows laptops flake out/dropping Wifi/update issues/bugs all the time - OMG even my Canon printer/scanner just died thanks to 24H2. IT IS STILL DEAD. Hmm, the only scanning software that still works is the MS Store App
Sure, apple costs a little more, but for that money you get an overall better user experience. How much $ is it worth to avoid glitchy aggravations - I just want my laptop to work - OBEY MY COMMANDS

Because Macbooks are double the price for the same specs and some people aren't Apple fanboys who don't want to buy into the whole Apple $$$ ecosystem. And people have been saying that games are coming to Mac for literally decades.
