Noooooo. I went looking for this today and was happy it was over. Don't come back!

Is there any comparable quality at this price? (used or new).

Not at this price. If you want electric guitar like this. This is the one. I would buy it, but i already have almost same model. I have Jackson Soloist Koa top, 2 humbuckers. If you check around, people are asking more then this for used ones.
Come on Iconian, ol' buddy, ol' pal...you are my only hope 🥺...do your magic...any Jackson Juggernaut Misha Mansoor ( 6 string only and not USA please, that's 🤑 ), PRS Mark Holcomb or any Strandberg or, second choice, Ibanez RG550 or 565. That's what I'm waiting for.

I don't have the time to go to a store to try it out right now, but how does this neck compare to the Ibanez RG550?

Insignificant difference. Ibanez is 17" and Jackson is compound 12 to 16". So, just by compering numbers, Jackson is more versatile. In real life, you will notice, maybe, some difference, little in a neck shape, but that will not affect your playing.

Thanks.

I read up a bit more and it seems like it is a thicker neck (compared to say a dinky), and I'm a sucker for fast necks. Also this is painted and that is something I don't prefer.

As amazing as it looks and the price is, I think I'm going to pass.

*Temptation averted*
