My Lowes doesn't give a discount on appliances that are on sale. Still a great deal. My son needed a dishwasher and we jumped on this. Hope it doesn't get cancelled.

The new ones take 2-3.5 hours for a cycle, don't clean as well, and don't dry worth a darn
You ain't wrong. Just replaced my 20 year-old Bosch with another Bosch. Both are whisper quiet and clean and dry well. They do cost more, so probably no comparison to a $200 dishwasher.

These are the worst of the worst...
most dishwashers in the $500-$600 price range when on sale (MSRP $800-$900)
Will blow away the old inefficient ones you are referring to.
For Best performance Bosch 800 series. 5 years going strong-best we ever had.
If it broke down today would still buy another.
