Do not buy this, the cache has an issue that causes a massive drop in write speeds (from around 6000 mbps down to 2000) most likely due to a firmware issue that has not been resolved since the drive has been released. Here is one example and you can find many others just like it https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmaster...led_
If you plan on using it as a game/ secondary drive its not bad but at this price and with the lack of a fix I really find it hard to recommend. I personally have one and have replaced it with a 990 pro, it is now my (expensive) secondary drive.
That said, between all the NVME drives I've tried:
Samsung 980 Pro 1TB
Samsung 980 Pro 2TB
Samsung 990 Pro 4TB
Samsung PM981 1TB
SK Hynix P31 1TB
SK Hynix P31 2TB
SK Hynix P41 1TB
SK Hynix P41 2TB
Team Group T-Force Z4 2TB
Team Group MP44 1TB
Crucial P3 Plus 1TB
You likely won't be able to tell the difference with everyday use outside of using benchmark tools or potentially using specific intense writing for professional work like video editing. So if you need a decent 2TB NVME drive now, this isn't bad at the current price. Or you could wait for another deal on the Samsung 990 Pros to drop below $150

This P41 drive DOES have DRAM unlike most cheap SSD deals, so if that new firmware that just came out about 2 weeks ago does indeed finally solve the problems then that's great news!

I refuse to Trust Hynix again, after how long they took for the firmware fix, and they haven't even released fix for the p44 pro, same damn drive.
It also may not even be a complete fix.
