For those who only want cash, not points:

$1000 cash back less:
- $95 annual fee
- $50-100 opportunity cost for spending $5000 on a card that only gives 1%cb when you could have gotten 2-3%cb.

Still over $800 tax-free profit. Not bad at all.

Considering it. I have one more application before I hit chase 5/24, then wait for a boosted amex gold or platinum bonus.

Any 0% apr period on this?

Will they treat a tax payment at pay1040 as a cash advance? Most credit card vendors treat it as a purchase.
The offer is supposed to be available online starting 04/03.
Not only is it in OP's message, it's also in the subject. Good grief.

You don't need to have a Chase bank account to apply.

I opened this card around March 7th for 60k online. Would I be able to message/call them to match this bonus? How would I go about doing so? I have not met the sign up bonus requirement yet

I got a referral code and waiting for this deal to go live. I hope the referral is allowed.

How much is it? Only 10K?

Historically, in the beginning, the referral offer is less than the promotional offer, and for 10K IDK if it's worth risking by applying and asking for a match. But maybe worth waiting a month
This 100K points offer is rumored to be available via referral starting April 8 or 9

Others have had success calling. Try all available methods, and keep trying until you get a positive result

Wait till the offer is online and call. They'll match. Ask them to document that in case, so you can call and refer to that case once you get your 60K

Platinum now is giving up to 175K points. I believe it's the maximum it ever had.

Does Chase still waive first year's annual fee if you apply in Branch?

Having said that, if you're caring at all about APR, shouldn't really be signing up for another credit card.
Why is that?

I am thinking to pay my tax using a new credit card with 0% APR, cheaper than paying tax through installments.

So I applied over the weekend in branch but got denied letter today due to,

"Number of recently opened accounts on credit report"

I have 846 fico score and opened like two credit cards over the last couple months.

Any suggestions to get them to reconsider?
