$1000 cash back less:
- $95 annual fee
- $50-100 opportunity cost for spending $5000 on a card that only gives 1%cb when you could have gotten 2-3%cb.
Still over $800 tax-free profit. Not bad at all.
Considering it. I have one more application before I hit chase 5/24, then wait for a boosted amex gold or platinum bonus.
Any 0% apr period on this?
Will they treat a tax payment at pay1040 as a cash advance? Most credit card vendors treat it as a purchase.
The offer is supposed to be available online starting 04/03.
Nope- you can only have 1 sapphire (of any type) open at once, and can't get a sapphire bonus at all if you received one in the last 48 months.
Current referral links are still only offering 60k--- rumors on reddit that 100k referrals for individuals will be live next week (8th was what I read)

Dang, I already have this one. I wonder if they'd give me another like they've given me 4 or 5 INK cards so far...
So you can down grade to a Chase flex. It depends how long you've had the preferred. I just did this but the kicker is you have to wait 2 billing cycles to reapply and take advantage as a new customer.
For us new to this, what does the 100K translate to?
Can that get 2 plane tickets to an international flight? is the 100K bonus points on top of the points acquired from spending $5K.
I need to spend $7500 soon, and was thinking of getting a Wells fargo credit card that has a promo right now of 0% for about 2 years. but no kind of rewards points etc.
2 years at about 20% interest says $1600 in interest over that course
1 year at 20% is about $837 interest
If I can pay it off in 1 year with the sapphire, if the 100K points can be redeemed for flights that be worth more value than the interest sure why not.
Sorry credit card newb here
100K points = 1K USD applied on bill, or 1250 USD when used on chase travel site with this card..
Others have commented a week, some have said 30 days.
I would say once your Chase account has updated to show you no longer have the sapphire card you should be good.
I downgraded my CSR last evening and it showed the change in less than 30 mins in online banking. I even got notified of my card being downgraded by door dash and they cancelled my dash pass. I'm guessing I'm safe to apply for the CSP in the morning?
How long will this promo last for? I have some organic expenses in September that would easily get me to $5k spent, but I'm not sure about signing up in June.

The link was an altered Chase internal link for those who went to the Branch to apply for the card.
I would also like to know if we can refer someone for the preferred because I currently have the reserve. Thanks!
