Look up gamers nexus older behind the scenes video on these trash chairs. I think it would have cost them $40 a piece to fabricate the chair, choose a colorway, and slap a logo on it then charge whatever they wanted beyond that... But it was still the same trash chair underneath and all these brands with similar styles and builds are doing the same thing

Bad build quality, bad ergonomics, bad reliability, poor long term comfort compared to other options AKA a complete waste of YOUR money and just meant to be peddled by sponsors, influencers, and game brands.

What would be considered a good brand to look for? I have a AK racing onyx chair that is about 6 years old, the padding is getting a little uncomfortable after 6 years (no rips though) so I need to look for an alternative soon.

Yeah these chairs are more for decoration than for sitting.
If you're a big boy, they will deteriorate that much faster.
So much wasted money, materials, time, carbon emissions, etc for this garbage...
I'd be surprised if someone had one of these for longer than a year without the padding disintegrating.
