I've had mine for 7 years, replaced heating element. The temp is not accurate in them at all.

The control panels on these aren't the toughest, so make sure that you get a cover or have it protected from the rain when not in use. I had one a while ago and moisture got into the panel.

The overall design is fine, they work well enough when you can't have a flame. Stupid easy, but get a separate thermometer to measure temperature since the control on it is quite inaccurate and cannot be calibrated.

They're great. The only downside is that you don't get the excess smoke you do with traditional smokers. They're pretty great for ribs and brisket.
