That's a lot of onion powder. I only use maybe a teaspoon or so that I mix into burgers, etc.

Curious what you guys use it for?

Pot roasts, burgers, steaks, soups, stews. Anything that you're also using whole onions in, to give it a boost.i also make my own rubs for smoking meat, and other spice blends (taco seasoning, steak and burger seasoning, etc).

I use a lot of spice and it's still too much. It goes bad before I can use it all. It's only good if you're planning a big cookout and need onion powder.

It's good for: smoked meats, rubs, roasts, stews, tomato sauce, homemade mayo, and salad dressing. But even then, it's hard to use it all.

Mashed potatoes. Anything potatoes really. Especially like the Bob Evans pre made in the tub. Butter, onion powder and garlic powder. There's never any leftovers with my family.. yummy

Quick tip for everyone - If you DO NOT see the deal at first, try clicking one the Happy Belly twin pack, wait for the page to fully load and the click back to the single Happy Belly pack. A 10% coupon showed up for me at first with a price of $10.49 and when I did the "swap" the 25% coupon came up and the price changed to 9.97 with S&S. During checkout however, the actual price of $10.49 showed back up for a grand total of $7.35 at the end. Amazon and their (Insert appropriate cuss word here) algorithms...

Thanks. So you recommend using this in addition to whole onion? I make alot with onions, which is why I figured onion powder was sort of necessary except where it's not practical (eg mixing with meat, or rubs like you noted) but would definitely give it a try to enhance the flavor of dishing I'm already adding onion to.

I like this idea. I've done garlic powder but I'm the only one that likes garlic mashed potatoes, so would definitely give this a shot.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. I use onions alot, but couldn't quite find other use cases where I needed it in powder/granular form, but have some interesting suggestions here that I appreciate.

i am sure you can portion out some and seal into a vessel and toss this onion powder into your freezer to extend the usage life.
