FYI you cannot continuously charge and run the fan from a power cable. You need to take the batteries out and recharge them

Not a bad deal, IF you are bought into the Ryobi lithium line, and need a battery powered fan.

Not sure how long the fan will last, with that battery. Could not see any run-time info on the page...

It says 7+ hours runtime in the item photos and a bunch of other places in the item description and specifications

I have a couple of these fans and just tested them a few days ago. They run for about 2.5 hours on High. I didn't test the Low setting yet.

This is a decent deal, it's basically getting a battery for free. But if you're already deep into this line you know that there are no "tool only" options so everything you get comes with a battery. I really like almost everything in the 4V line, but I have far more batteries than I'll ever need at this point.

Fan is awesome, especially if you have a baby and are outdoors a lot. Great for baseball season

I have the 18v variant and I'll fight someone over them. I bought two and my wife immediately bought two and man, when you gotta be outside for kid stuff and it's 10 billion degrees oooweee these things rock. And we don't use two at a time, unless we are being very very extra.

How long do the 18v fan typically last

Depends on the battery you use with it. My 4Ah batts run the 18v clamp fans over 24 hours. They really are amazing.

This is the only tool in the Ryobi 4v line that I like. Everything else in their 4v is bad because it's weak for its price point.

That being said, out of all my Ryobi fan from small to big. The 18v 4" fan is my favorite, not too big and not as compact but it blow air much better during the summer heat. I normally carry two 18v fans with 4ah battery and have it run maximum for myself and my kids.

The product images show a 'Buy More Save More' promotion - 'Save $20 when you buy 2' & 'Save $40 when you buy 3.' I add 2 or 3 to the cart but the discount doesn't show. Anyone know how to get the additional discount?

Ryobi fans are poor quality. They fail after a while. The reviews on HD are not an accurate reflection of the product quality, or lack thereof. First fan failed after several hours of use. Replacement fan was DOA. A third, larger style fan is failing after nominal use.

They rock. I took mine to the beach for the baby and it had no problem keeping her cool in a 80-90 degree day.
