Thanks OP! Good way to dip my toes into a gas griddle. Been wanting to try it for a while.

Take good care of the cook top and it'll treat you well. I've got a home and camping griddle, they're fun to cook on.

Seems like some pretty poor reviews, was looking for something like this but might have to wait.

Wish it was 2 burners. single burners don't distribute heat evenly on the griddle.

Do you know this fair against the BlackStone 17" portable griddle? I am assuming it'll be pretty similar but the burner quality sometimes make a big difference.

It's a fair product and works well if you understand it's a portable griddle. You're not gonna get the crispiest smash burgers on a windy day, but for a tailgate setup in my opinion it beats trying to grill a thick burger on a camping stove/grill. I've had it for a year and used it every Saturday home college game football. It served me well. Found the rolling cart for it on clearance as well for $49

I don't off hand. My camping Blackstone is a 22", I personally like the 2 burners like the poster above, better heat control.

All of the 1 star reviews I looked at were for 2 & 3 burner models. But, I only looked at a few.

Please note this requires a silly d battery for the electronics which is annoying.

I own this griddle, and it is true that the heat across the surface is uneven. I measured the heat across the surface with an IR gun and it was a differential of about 30ish degrees. I emailed LOCO and they acknowledged that. However...I got it at this price a year ago, and because of other features, I actually ditched my Blackstone for this: (1) it is built solid (but weighs a ton) and (2) the temperature setting is very repeatable. Oh, it cooks well, once you know the surface heating pattern.

My experience as well, including the rolling cart clearance deal. Both grill and cart are built well - and heavy, though.

I have the blackstone version of this. It has a single burner, but the burner is an 'H' shape and evenly cooks the entire surface. You can find the blackstone for the same price on sale if you look.

yeah I bought one but returned it knowing it needs this battery. imagine you ready to cook dinner or at a campsite and the battery runs out.

I have this griddle. It's fine when it's cheap. The heat distribution is worst then my 17" Adventure Blackstone. For this loco griddle, imagine a diagonal line from rear left corner to front right corner. The side left of that line doesn't heat up very well, I seasoned for an hours and that side doesn't get hot enough for conola oil to smoke. Bacon doesn't crisp on that side, and smash burgers look steamed. For this price though, just gotta do a lot of flipping and moving. Also, it requires 2 DD batteries for smart temp, and 1 AA battery for ignitor.
