I had two different packages of Ray o Vac alkaline batteries leak after less than two years. One leaked and damaged a mail alarm device. The batteries were labelled with a 10 year warranty. I contacted Ray o Vac customer service and they were less than no help at all. They requested numerous rounds of pictures (which I submitted). The always wanted just more and more pictures. I finally gave up. I previously thought of this company as a trusted brand but I will not be buying Ray o Vac again.

The battery does not last and leaks. You get what you pay for.

These are the worst. I don't know what they've done to them, but they all leak now. I can't tell you how many remotes and flashlight, all of which are used regularly, I have to clean out once these leak. White crystals and slimy goo everywhere. I just had the same happen with Duracells, which also makes Kirklands at Costco. I have yet to have an Energizer leak, but if they follow the cost cutting of the other 2, I will move everything I can to eneloop/ladaa rechargeables. These can ruin your electronics and corrode the contacts. NOT AT ANY PRICE.

I have had several Rayovacs, including brand new in package, leak and was able to get some reimbursement by going through Rayovacs CS support. NOT WORTH LOSING PRECIOUS ELECTRONICS to save a few bucks on batteries.

Duracell also leak but less, even Amazon is much more leak-proof imho in my experience.
