I've been waiting for this to drop again and I think this is the closest it'll get to the low prices of a few months ago. With the coupon code OUTLET20, it drops the price to $359.99

I've been watching this one. My only concern with these is that Firman/eBay seem to have an endless supply of these. Makes me wonder what the common failure point is and if it's correctly addressed in the refurb model.

Good question, reviews seem decent enough for a generator. I did purchase time around late 2024 and ran it for 3 hours for an initial break in and ran very well during it.

Bought one of these last time it came up - so did a neighbor. Appearance wise, mine was scuffed up but the motor / guts were all brand new. My neighbor's looked 100% new.

Broke mine in and it ran our tailgate RV setup all season, about 120 hours, exclusively on propane after initial break-in. No complaints. Will go all day at half power easy on a 20lb tank - if we're using more electric than just a TV we'll pop on a 30 so we don't have to deal with it.

Added a meter so I could see usage - easy to do without any permanent modifications - standard connectors inside, I just made a pigtail. Was gonna post a youtube video how to do it, just didn't get around to it yet.

If you already have 12 battery chargers around, you can get various conversion plugs to use the onboard barrel type charging port.

Has anyone swapped out the hi-pressure regulator for a low-pressure one for natural gas instead of propane?

Few on youtube - but if you use the factory gas inlet with NG you'll be restricted to about 1800 watts

How many hours at how many watts on a 20 pound tank?

How does this compare to Firman 2000?

I got one on the last deal as well, and I'm very impressed with it. I bought a magnetic dipstick to check on any shavings that might go through the oil, and mine was scuffed on the outside, but at the very least the carburetor was brand new. I think the whole engine is brand new as well. I'm running Walmart's Super Tech synthetic in it.

Normally we have TV and a PA setup, random low draw from other RV draw.. it sits around 600-800 watts (not even half load) and a 20 lb can go for 10-11 hours no problem before we shut down. The only time we had a problem with a 20 was when it was very cold outside, the 20lb tank was not full - it froze up and we had to put a more full tank on.

I'm going off memory so I suggest you do your own research but I think this thing uses just under a gallon of propane an hour at full load and a 20lb tank is about 4.5-5 gallons ...

Who is fighting who? I checked the ebay listing and researched the product, and I see no evidence of any duel or other one-on-one fight involving this dual-fuel generator. I know, Englishing is hard, and sometimes I word bad, too.

I bought a refurb. It works fine, but it's sooo loud. This is supposed to be one of the quietest generators on the market and it's louder than everyone else's at the campsite.
I'm guessing that was the return reason? Although, people suck so they might just be returning them after using them for the 1 thing they needed. I imagine Costco just takes them back no questions asked.

Good enough to power my 18 cu ft freezer, main fridge, and 10,000 btu inverter window AC?
