Nope. But you'll want to get it out of S mode by doing the following:
To switch out of S mode in Windows, go to Settings > System > Activation, click "Go to the Store" under "Switch to Windows 11 Pro", then select "Get" on the "Switch out of S mode" page in the Microsoft Store.

It's been running 24/7 since I got it, and I always have like 30 tabs open in my browser, in addition to playing an old school MMORPG (Asheron's Call) emulator, on two accounts also running 24/7 in the background.
Easily the best $150 I've spent in years. That being said, I do wish I could upgrade the ram, but it is soldered— not a possibility. If I knew then what I know now, I'd pay $200 for this laptop. I wouldn't spent msrp of like 400-500 on it, but it's easily worth the $150 I paid, or the $200 here.
That in mind— this is a refurb. So… something something grain of salt.

"Windows in S mode is a streamlined version of Windows designed for security and performance, restricting users to installing apps solely from the Microsoft Store and using Microsoft Edge for browsing".
Now, I could see some of these refurbs being setup without someone making sure that Windows detected the touch screen and thus loading the correct drivers to enable touch. But yes the unit does have a touch screen.
Also can't speak for the Acer but I had a Lenovo which had a button which turned off the touch screen...which was very easy to hit by mistake (now my current one has a key to turn off the touchPAD). Perhaps a few users did that without realizing? I've known a few people who thought their wifi was broken the same way when they turned on airplane mode by fatfingering the key.

You think gaming is the only thing people buy laptops or something?
