EcoFlow support is terrible. I have 3 of these batteries, an inverter, and the Smart Home Panel 2. Guess what, mines was defective and it doesn't switch over to the batteries. It took 2 months for them to diagnose it, and I did most of the work by measuring voltages in a live panel. I got a replacement, and it still doesn't work, and now they suspect the inverter. It's been another 2 months and they claim that their technical team is looking into it. 4 months and I still don't have what I paid for (a sub panel that automatically cuts over to battery in case of outages). If you ever need support, be prepared to send pictures, videos, and patience....lots and lots of patience.
that's because it is so easy to set up, that most people don't need a contractor! i bet your install solution is the one that is overpriced. ecoflow is overpriced if you pay full retail sticker price, but not when you wait for deals and get stuff greatly discounted.

why are you presuming to speak for everyone, as if you know everyone's needs? many people do not have an existing system, but are only exploring backup or energy savings for the first time. did that ever occur to you? what are you even doing in this thread if you think ecoflow is such a joke?

doesn't need to be outside, because the dpu is *quiet*, unlike much of the diy aio inverters out there. if i bought some of the eg4 stuff, i would need to put it outside in the cold, so i wouldn't have to listen to the hair dryer-like screaming fans all the time.

proprietary design, blah, blah, blah. you can plug in whatever sort of solar panels you want to it, even smaller ones to start out with. many aio's require a minimum of 120 volts or more just to get the solar going. you only need 80 with the ecoflow dpu for the high pv input.

once you have at least one ef battery paired with the inverter, you don't have to buy any more. you can add whatever cheap storage you want to it, if you're so inclined. you can buy a cheap 12v 100 ah battery for extra capacity, or you can buy any sort of server rack battery, or the 14.3 kwh wall mount eg4 battery someone mentioned earlier. all of that can feed the ecoflow if you want.

you are such a presumptuous prick, that i wouldn't want to deal with you or your company for a solar system. i don't need your help anyhow, i can do diy, or a combination of diy + ecoflow if i want. you apparently aren't invested in the ecoflow system, and yet you are here pushing your viewpoint, so aren't you proof that some of the folks on this thread (like you) are not substantially invested in ecoflow? so why do you make assumptions that folks like me are so invested in ecoflow, when you're here and apparently are not invested?

what about the fella who suggested eg4 was a better value. is he so heavily invested in ecoflow too? stop making assumptions and presuming to know what's best for everyone. if you don't like ecoflow, i don't care.

so, what are you doing here then?

nice price if you can also combine it with a home depot coupon, like $75 off or more.

Yes the inverter is sold separately or sometimes together in a kit with extra batteries. This is just the extra battery to expand the capacity of the Delta Pro Ultra. But this price is an amazing deal to expand.

Does this have to be used with the EcoFlow inverter, or can I connect it to a Victron Quattro?

I agree, my SHP2 failed within a week after it cost me $2k to install. They didn't know when they'd get more stock to send to me so my house had only half power, so ripped it out and went with a 'dumb' manual transfer panel. I should never have gone with the SHP2, I was foolish and paid the price. They're a major failure point when they're installed due to the relays.

It's almost like they're dumping stock before a major event happens 🤔

That sux. My newly installed SHP2 also failed, but luckily only the smart features failed. They did send 2 technicians to swap out the replacement unit for free, but yea I also had to wait a month for the replacement unit to be available.
