Great price for an easy plug and play system, matches the low price from last week. Obviously DIY server rack batteries are half of this price or below per kWh but this is much easier installation-wise.

Does it qualify for the tax rebate? Since it's just battery itself

Tax requirements are over 3kW "installed" in your house. It's fairly obtuse and you can claim it if you believe you meet that.

Do they ask for proof of installation? It's simply plugged into an appliance..not sure how much more proof they need to be considered as installation?

Do you know if these are actually acceptable as a UPS for computers/servers? Looks like River 3 Plus and Delta 3 Plus are not.

This post details the issues with using them instead of a UPS: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ecoflow_...lus_delta/

No. One of these units cooked a synology power brick, but more annoying than that is they have to be drained periodically to recalibrate the BMS. Otherwise, when you NEED it, it dies in 1/16th the time it says on the front or what you'd expect. Very annoying.

Damn. Thanks for the feedback. I'm really glad I dug deeper before buying one to use as a UPS. I hear great things about these as a backup power source but it's sad to see them shoe-horn these things into a role as a UPS when they are not suited. It's harming their name for me, and if they do ever make a real UPS I will be very skeptical now. Instead of looking for EcoFlow to make a UPS I guess I'll be hoping for CyberPower or APC to make a lifepo UPS instead.

I do want to note, the Delta 3 plus referenced in SeriuosLlama's link is a very different product compared to the Delta Pro Ultra. Reviews and behaviors for one do not translate to the other

Most of the previous posts don't apply to this. This is just battery to add to an existing system, not a standalone unit. I ordered 2.
