This is one of the best games ever made! It's the only real retro game that has been updated. Everything that came after this game uses retro graphics, which means that the developers and artists didn't have to update anything. I wish the new Turtles game could have been made with similar graphics.

This game shines in Co-op. I have played it on STEAM. I wonder how it works through GOG?

Terrible sequel. Developers of this sequel should be ashamed. So glad Sega didn't ask them to return for the next sequel.
Odd take. I would argue it caused a resurgence of really well done beat'em ups. Heck, Dotemu perfected this with their very next release, Shredder's Revenge.

The studio rumored to be developing the next SoR is Komi Games. They made Mighty Fight Federation, which was decent.

If it caused a resurgence, Sega would have asked them to create the next SoR.

Terrible take 😂

This game rules. It's the best SoR, right up there with SoR2

Challenging difficulty settings to replay, lots of characters to unlock, has online, has a training mode because the game legitimately has tech, fantastic art style, great soundtracks that you can easily flip between anytime, and zero microtransactions.

TMNT Shredder's Revenge is a such a close second, but SoR4 is king

I did, it doesn't mean the business behind it was great. Happens all the time. I actually never came across anyone who serious didn't like this game. Even the dlc was really good…..this game was even better the fan remake, because it incorporated old and new in a very good way

i dont really see any evidence of a resurgence.
anecdotal. i mean i've come across people who agree with me that don't like the game but that doesn't mean much.

no. i can run with all the characters in sor3. this game, only a couple of characters let you run.

sor3 mechanic of special moves is superior to this trash mechanic of "you lose health that you can regain" mechanic. terrible.

Had a lot of fun playing this on Android, played it a little bit on PC and it's just as good. There's a lot of replayability as you get to unlock additional powers through the survivor mode.
