Offer Terms:
Eligibility and Enrollment
Enrollment is limited. Eligible Card Members must first add offer to Card and then use same Card for qualifying spend. Only US-issued American Express® Cards are eligible.
Limit of 2 statement credits (total of $14 back) per eligible Card Member. If the Card Account is canceled or past due, it may not qualify to receive the statement credits.
Qualifying Purchases
Offer valid only on YouTube Premium subscription purchases made online at US website youtube.com/premium or through the YouTube app. Excludes all other YouTube and Google products and services. If you receive a free trial, charges may not post to your account until the trial has lapsed. Charges must post to your account before 7/31/2025 in order to qualify. Please note if you purchase a subscription, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. American Express identifies qualifying transactions based on information provided by the participating merchant. Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
Offer only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant. Offer not valid on purchases made using third parties, such as resellers, delivery services, or other intermediaries.
Statement Credit
Please allow 90-days after 7/31/2025 for the statement credit(s) to be posted to the Account, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.
I found this on my Blue Cash preferred card.

YT premium is sticky, once you're into it, you're into it...super hard to get out.
I've tried once and it was a mutiny at home.
And to top it, YT keeps increasing the cost.
If not for the Nigeria trick, I'd be holding grudge against the YT. LOL
Sure, it's not a secret so a PM isn't necessary.
YTP is cheapest in Nigeria, some people are able to subscribe to YTP that way for a fraction of the usual price (like about two bucks for the family plan, which five people can share.)
There are posts online with step by step how to. No point me repeating those here, since there is a lots of valuable information in the comments section of those posts.
Having said that, this is a slippery slope, after YT, people do their NF, G1 and all that this way...
Then there is streamwithvpn, nord and the list goes on.
It's a bit of management hassle, but works for people who feel excited about such adventures. LOL
VPN, claim you are in that country, buy there, use elsewhere, very old trick that works for many things
I just use brave or revanced, $0 cost

There's a much easier to get YTP without have to go all the way to Nigeria and end up with your details being stolen, end up on a list, and getting banned by Google one day. Make your way over to Reddit to find out how.

They did crack down on this. I had a similar setup where I think I had mine signed up in Ukraine via VPN (was about $2/month). Worked for a couple years, then I got an email saying it doesn't appear like I'm there and I could cancel or renew at US prices. I just canceled.
It was nice to have. Now I mainly just watch YouTube on my PC using an ad blocker and just avoid watching it on my tv.

Too bad it doesn't work on TVs... the most common use case for many people.

I think the only way to go is a family plan.
