This was the very first game I bought for my family's very first mac, right about 30 years ago. I still remember firing this up for the first time and realizing how different the future was going to be.

Personally I didn't think the remaster was all that great. Honestly I didn't think the original was really worth remaking to begin with so I didn't have any nostalgia towards the game. To me it felt like an okay Doom total conversion...

It's a Star Wars ip. That alone means they can sell a lot of units. When they choose games they have to assess what the sales potential and roi will be

I'm sure that is the case. I just think that Dark Forces was poor choice (even if the choice made $$$) for the utilization of Night Dive Studio's talents.

This was insanely good at the time, I remember. I probably wouldn't play it again.

Are these game keys legitimate? I've never seen the price so low on this game.

While I loved these back in the day, I'd probably skip them now. I got the Bounty Hunter remaster not too long ago and the gameplay mechanics and the "remastered" graphics don't hold up.

This was my first ever FPS that we had on our old mac. The original graphics suuuuuuuuucked and we never would have gotten past the sewer level without the guidebook and all the awesome cheats. I think ill pick it up for the kids, or probably just me,

Cdkeys is great. The many times I've used it over the years, I've had no issues.

I don't know where they get the keys, I buy from CDkeys fairly frequently and have never had an issue redeeming the keys. CDkeys has a 4.8 rating on TrustPilot if that means anything.

That said, I only buy cheap games there, so if there ever is a problem with a key and I can't get it rectified, it's an amount lost that I can live with.

This is the one. If you're a big star wars fan maybe it's worth a trip through but as a Doom fan this clone fell far short originally. Also the update Doom 1+2 got last year is fantastic

CDKeys has been around for many years and is the biggest/most trusted site for discounted games. Eneba is another good one that does huge discounts on digital games.

Oh the memories of the multiplayer map Drazen Isle, thanks for that hit of nostalgia! That was for the sequel though, Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight. I think this deal is for the remaster of the original game. Would love to see remasters of Jedi Knight and its sequels too.
