Integra is Onkyo premium line. Like Marantz is Denon premium line.
Of course this goes back on sale after I drop $1K on the Onkyo RZ50 🥲
Probably not. Enjoy what you have.

I have a Denon s970 and some Klipsch RPii bookshelves and center, with plans to eventually get the large floor speakers, because my current listening space is tight.

Would I notice an improvement in sound, vinyl?

Edit: so many typos!

Thoughts on grabbing this vs the x3800h? Not ina rush to grab one but will be starting to build my HT setup in the coming months.

I would skip both for now and concentrate on the speakers.
The quality of those will make much more an impact in performance than an AVR imo.

I've actually never heard of Integra brand receivers. How are these compared to the lines of Yamaha or Denon?

Grab this is you need to upgrade from 4K60, to 4K120 (ie if you got something like a PS5 Pro). Otherwise focus on speakers. AVRs at a similar price range will all sound the same.

Integra is Onkyo premium line. Like Marantz is Denon premium line.

S970h already supports 4k120.

Unless the x3800 gets down to near this price I say go for the Integra

Spend the extra on speakers
Though I don't own this unit, it has great room correction onboard and should be stellar for a small to mid size listening environment.
