My concern would be because it's edge lit. Blacks glow when cranking up the brightness. but we people report good blacks

It does have a mediocre 10 vertical zone local dimming feature FWIW. It does improve black levels some but it seems like a wasted opportunity to make a better product by doing FALD.

I think this is an overall good product, but don't see it as an upgrade whatsoever to the G70B. I tend to say the panels were better in that model.

Source current G70D owner, former G70B owner.

Equivalent, I'd say.

I changed models because I didn't have a crystal ball to tell me that I wouldn't feel the new model was an upgrade.

Does it support VESA mounting? There's a quick spec saying 100x100 but I don't see how with the way that stand is attached.

The black circular part inside the RGB circle probably comes out and mounting holes are inside there.

I wish Samsung did full array local dimming on non curved panels
