This is a great receiver. Dirac is so much better than the standard Onkyo room correction. I love mine.

Unlikely. This has a bit more power, but if you've never felt your Denon was unable to get loud enough, it's not an issue. I didn't double check, but I assume this will also do better for 4K gaming with a higher refresh rate. This also comes with DIRAC for better audio setup, but YMMV as far as what, if any, real world improvement you hear.
Another suggestion if you didn't need the extra two channels is the RZ30 for $50 more($799).
DLBC would be the same cost of miniDSP + mic, no learning and better/easier results.

Maybe if you needed the extra channels.
The 15 extra might be advantageous also but the pre outs solves that.
The included Dirac was an advantage also but the advent of A1EVO(which you have access to) pretty much negates it especially since you don't lose subwoofer correction/integration.
I suggest you look at the AVS forum thread of people who have owned this unit since it was released in 2021. There are literally hundreds of owners who seem very satisfied.
The Onkyo RZ50 replaced a Marantz 7015 for me and to my ears was a sonic upgrade.
My RZ50 runs a system in mid sized room with bookshelf speakers
Compared to Audyssey in the Marantz 7015 this unit was a very nice sonic improvement with Dirac
You might look into the RZ30, I believe that might support it.

Nice knowing it's an option especially since you have the option to DLBC.
People often say this for things like preouts or more processing channels.
Having calibrated for years I say better because of the how good the correction/integration between subwoofer(s), individual loudspeakers & environment.
It does this with such ease and adjustments!
Not to mention the flexibility with placement.
Doing this manually is not an easy endeavor especially with multiple subs!
Personally this is why you go with Dirac, there is a reason they do not include Bass Control, it's a paid option.
Why not sell it, you'll easily make most your money back.
You then just buy this, pretty simple remedy.
Edit: No Auro 3d.
