Only gripe is the obvious one of the F4. I shoot mostly with prime lenses, but for outdoor shots in the daytime, this thing is great. I especially like it for video. It's not too big and can work on a gimbal with ease.
Not as good as my primes for picture quality, but way more flexible. I shoot outdoor events with this zoom more than my primes.

If you could only have one lens, what would you pick
Replying to you and the other person above, my current one lens to rule them all is the Tamron 35-150. But the only downside is it's pretty large and hefty, so if you travel be prepared to not be able to tuck it easily and get a good arm workout. But me personally, I'd rather have tired arms and the shots I wanted
I have the Sony 24-105, I prefer the wider angle for indoor spaces, and if I need more zoom after 105, I'll use zoom in digitally. But I'd recommend using a tripod for taking telephoto photos as the further you zoom for handheld shots, the more likely you'll get blurred shots. I find 105 the most i could reach while handholding while retaining "good" results (occasional blurred tree while pixel peeping)
