Damn this is nice. I LITERALLY just bought the single one to upgrade my Wifi 5 TPLink mesh "main" for the cable login. Crazyyyy how much faster wifi 6 is than 5 with a 2.5GB port on it. Went from 400 mb up/down to 1.3gb up/down.

Would have probably bought the 3 pack at only 100 more than the single pack at 80 last week.

Average Joe here, trying to upgrade from an TP Link Archer router (5/7?) and a few signal boosters on a "quasi-mesh" setup. Is this a pretty plug-n-play setup or does it need a lot of manual work?

Also, the sensitive question, but how are the winds blowing in favor/against TP right now? I don't want to end up getting bricked by either side of the fight

Can someone explain these to me or direct me to some guide?

Is my understanding correct that one of these would be plugged into the modem via Ethernet cord acting as the router and then the other two can be elsewhere in the house to extend coverage?

Or do I still need a router?

Currently I use a netgear modem/router combo and internet has been fluctuating quite a bit. The modem/router is probably 6 years old. Would be looking to replace the netgear with standalone modem and router or a modem and these mesh wifi things.

You plug this to the cable modem. In your case if you still use that modem router combo it will be a slightly more complicated setup. You will need to disable the "router" portion of your device (basically the wifi/DHCP portions) .

Thanks, I'll purchase a new separate modem.

yes, even if you have to run the ethernet cable out one window and around the backside of the house and under the neighbors car and back around the side of the house and in that window. Popcorn
