if you don't say how, you add no value - so, how?

I added value by letting others know it was possible. There was no trick to it.. just used the coupon and put 4 quantity. I don't really get it.

Unfortunately it will only be possible for you. That $8.38 promotional credit had absolutely nothing to do with this deal. You had a $10+ promotional credit from something you had done previously. I hate to be the one one to break it to you buy you actually paid $2.09 apiece for the 4 you got, you just paid for it with a promotional credit you could have used on anything sold by Amazon. Most likely you got it for participating in a previous promotion (purchase a specific product or $X of products from a list and you get a $Y promotional credit once the order ships) and forgot about it. It could also have been a customer service credit but I think those show up differently than "Promotional credit" when used... And as an added kick in the pants, whatever the amount that the promotional credit was above $8.38 is now lost as the promotional credit can only be used one time and does not retain any residual value if the full amount is not used. Hopefully it was just a $10 credit and you only lost $1.62!
